Breeders' Corner

Here I would like to tell you about the principles by which I run my cattery.........

what breeding means to me.......
That I breed with cats I have raised myself / my own lines,
that I try to improve my lines through well thought-out matings and only a few outside purchases ..... to bring them closer to the standard,
and not that I randomly buy up cats from all over the world just to show off ;-)

Honesty & openness
as I already wrote under Breeder insights, being honest is very important to me, both in my private life and in cat breeding!
I can't and won't hide anything, and why would I...........I'm not afraid of bad publicity!
For me, the most important thing in cat breeding isn't money or profit, but being able to look at myself in the mirror tomorrow :-)) and, of course, my love for my cats.
Unfortunately, my honesty and trusting nature have often come back to bite me, because dear fellow breeders have cheated me, but I still won't let that turn me away from my principles.

Transparency on the website
Anyone visiting my website can see which cat had babies when and by which male, which cat is neutered, has moved out or has passed away... etc. ...
I have no animals on my website that are no longer in my ownership or have already passed away!
I am not embarrassed to point out illnesses that have occurred, see HCM or FIP, and I am not embarrassed to make an oops litter public......
..... I think these are the things people should pay attention to,
who look at my website and are searching for a kitten as a pet or breeding cat
or want to form your own opinion....
Why I write this or act this way...

it feels good to me; a clear conscience is the softest pillow :-))

The Miracle Litter

For years a pedigree has been circulating in Europe that I don't want to keep from you, dear reader. Perhaps you will read the pedigree carefully and be surprised
take a look at the ages in the red circles
why would anyone do a mating that had already been done several times years before?
Why would anyone have a 15-year-old female mated again after an 11-year break from breeding, when there are already offspring?
Was a mistake made?
Is the breeder acting unethically?
Did the registry office not check the breeder's details?
Or was there perhaps some cheating?
So many questions :(

The worst thing about this "story" is that the offspring don't look at all like purebred Sacred Birmans :(
That breeders who think they have to reinvent the wheel buy cats from this line which are obviously Birman mixes, and all under the cover of FIFe :(
That these breeders knowingly breed with what are probably false pedigrees :(
It is very, very sad :(

Any questions?
