Sacred Birman - THE COSY BEAUTY
My husband was a member of the LUX-CAT-CLUB/FIFe from 2009. This club has ceased its active work, so since 01.08.2023 my husband has been a member of the Katzenfreunde Bayern (KFB/1. DEKZV) FIFe
As mentioned above, I am a member of the KFG (independent cat associations)
About us ...
I am a devoted cat lover and have owned and loved cats for over 30 years.
In 1992 I had a 15-year-old domestic male and a new flat. I wanted a second cat and got a little kitten from a farm that had been advertised in the newspaper. When I took a closer look at home, I noticed that this little creature had brought all sorts of things with it from the farm: ear mites, roundworms, lice and so on. Later, the urge to roam and the need for freedom of a true farm cat became apparent. In short, it was torture for both of us, so I decided to part with her. After this fiasco came the wish for a pedigree cat.
But what should SHE be like? She should be calm, sweet and affectionate and “look normal”.
After studying several cat books, I chose the Sacred Birman and Ragdoll breeds.
So in 1993 the first pedigree cats moved in with me: a Sacred Birman female and a Ragdoll. I have never regretted this decision. In my opinion, a farm cat belongs on a farm or in a village where she has her freedom, because shutting such a cat in a 2- or 3-room flat without outdoor access is torment for the animal and its owner!
Our home
Since 1999 we have lived in a cat-friendly semi-detached house with three secure outdoor enclosures and plenty of room to romp and play, right in the middle between Regensburg, Ingolstadt and Nürnberg. Since I would not have a house without my love for my cats and for cat breeding, the house was specially planned:
